Pricing & Costs

How much does a Liverpool group tour cost?

Our guided group experiences — including walking tours, brewery tours, pub & culture tours, stadium & mural tours, and bespoke Liverpool experiences — start from around £45–60 per person. The final price depends on group size, duration, and the specific itinerary. Larger groups typically benefit from a lower per-head cost. All pricing includes a professional local guide and, where applicable, group transport. We provide a fully itemised quote based on your specific brief — contact us with your group size and dates for an accurate figure.

How much does a Liverpool shore excursion cost?

Liverpool shore excursion packages start from £80–100 per person. This price includes a professional local guide throughout, group transport (coach or executive minibus), relevant attraction entry fees, and a guaranteed return to Liverpool Cruise Terminal before the all-aboard time. We offer both half-day (approximately 4 hours) and full-day (approximately 7–8 hours) excursion options, built around your ship’s port time. Pricing is confirmed once we know your call date, passenger numbers, and preferred itinerary.

How much does a group transfer from Manchester Airport to Liverpool cost?

A group transfer from Manchester Airport to Liverpool city centre in our own 16-seater executive minibus starts from approximately £180–220 for the vehicle (not per person). The journey takes around 45–55 minutes depending on traffic. For larger groups requiring a coach or multiple vehicles, we broker with our trusted network of licensed operators and provide a combined quote. Contact us with your group size, flight arrival details, and destination in Liverpool for an accurate transfer price.

How much does a full Liverpool DMC day programme cost?

Full DMC day programme pricing varies too significantly to give a standard figure — it depends on group size, the services included (transport, guides, venue bookings, on-site coordination, risk documentation), and the complexity of the itinerary. A programme for 20 corporate delegates with a private guide, executive transport, and venue bookings is priced very differently to a 200-person shore excursion programme with multiple simultaneous groups. We provide a fully itemised proposal based on your brief, usually within 24–48 hours of enquiry. Send us your requirements and we’ll come back with a clear, detailed quote.

Is there a minimum group size?

No. We work with groups of any size — from a small private party of 4 or 5 through to large-scale programmes for 500+ delegates. Smaller groups are typically priced as a minimum package rate rather than per person. Tell us what you need and we’ll give you a price that makes sense for your group size.

About Liverpool Tour Experiences

What is a Liverpool DMC?

A Destination Management Company (DMC) is a specialist local operator that handles all the logistics of a group visit to a destination. Where a travel agent sells trips, a DMC delivers them. Liverpool Tour Experiences is Liverpool’s specialist inbound DMC — we receive groups into Liverpool and manage everything from arrival to departure: transport, itinerary, guides, venues, supplier management, risk documentation, and on-the-ground support throughout.

How long has Liverpool Tour Experiences been operating?

Liverpool Tour Experiences is the trading name of Brewery Tours Ltd, founded and led by Darren Gilligan — a Liverpool-born tourism and hospitality professional with over 27 years of experience in the Liverpool industry. We are one of the longest-established inbound group tourism operators in the city, and were named New Business of the Year 2023 at the Liverpool Chamber Innovation in Business Awards.

What is the best way to contact Liverpool Tour Experiences?

We respond quickly to all methods of contact — phone, WhatsApp, email, or the enquiry form on our website. For international enquiries, WhatsApp (+44 7990 984 932) is particularly convenient. For detailed briefs or trade introductions, email works well (info@liverpooltours.fore-studio.co.uk). For urgent or time-sensitive group needs, call us on +44 (0)151 374 1063. We aim to respond to all enquiries the same working day.

Bookings & Planning

How far in advance do I need to book?

For large or complex programmes — particularly those involving matchday elements or peak Liverpool event periods — we recommend getting in touch at least 8–12 weeks in advance. For smaller group requirements, we can often accommodate much shorter lead times. The earlier you contact us, the more options we can offer and the more time we have to secure the best suppliers and venues for your programme.

Do you work with travel agents and event agencies?

Yes. A significant part of our business is B2B. We work with event agencies, travel agents, tour operators, and corporate travel managers on a professional trade basis — providing net pricing, operating confidentially within your client relationship, and supporting your documentation and procurement requirements. If you’re a trade buyer looking for a Liverpool ground partner, contact us directly to discuss terms.

Do you arrange accommodation for groups?

It depends on the client and programme. For full DMC programmes, we can coordinate accommodation as part of the overall package — liaising with hotels, managing group check-in arrangements, and handling rooming list coordination. For clients who prefer to manage their own hotel booking, we focus on the ground programme. Tell us what you need and we’ll structure the proposal accordingly.

Transport & Transfers

How do I get from Manchester Airport to Liverpool with a group?

We operate group transfers from Manchester Airport to Liverpool as a standard service. For groups up to 16 passengers, we use our own executive minibus — from approximately £180–220 for the vehicle, with the journey taking around 45–55 minutes. For larger groups, we coordinate coaches and multiple vehicles through our trusted operator network. We handle meet-and-greet at arrivals, manage luggage, and transfer your group directly to your Liverpool hotel or programme start point. Contact us with your flight details and group size for an accurate transfer quote.

Can you handle groups larger than your own fleet?

Yes. We own two 16-seater executive minibuses and broker coaches, double-deckers, and larger transport for groups of any size through our network of licensed, fully insured operators. We regularly manage programmes for 50, 100, 200, and 500+ delegates. For all brokered transport, we vet the operator, brief the driver, and remain the accountable point of contact throughout.

Do you provide airport transfers from Liverpool John Lennon Airport?

Yes. We provide group meet-and-greet and transfer services from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Manchester Airport, and Liverpool Lime Street station. We also manage group arrivals at Liverpool Cruise Terminal. Contact us with your arrival details and group size for a transfer quote.

Football Tourism & Matchdays

How far in advance should I book a Liverpool FC matchday group visit?

As early as possible. Liverpool FC matchday tickets, premium experiences, and stadium tour slots sell out quickly — particularly for high-profile Premier League fixtures, European games, and peak season dates. Once you know which fixture you want to attend, contact us immediately. We will advise on availability and what we can secure. Waiting until a few weeks before the match significantly limits your options.

Do you operate on matchdays at Anfield?

Yes — matchday operations are a core part of what we do. We manage supporter group arrivals, transport logistics, pre-match and post-match hospitality coordination, and matchday movement at Anfield throughout the season. We know the road closures, the pedestrian management zones, and how to move a group in and out of Anfield efficiently at full-time. That operational knowledge only comes from doing it repeatedly over many years.

Can you arrange an Anfield stadium tour for a group?

Yes. We arrange group bookings for the official Anfield stadium tour and the LFC museum as part of wider football group programmes. We handle the booking, transport to and from the ground, and can combine the stadium tour with our Stadium & Mural walking tour for a richer Anfield-area experience. Contact us with your group size and preferred dates for availability and pricing.

Shore Excursions

What is included in a Liverpool shore excursion?

Our Liverpool shore excursion packages — from £80–100 per person — include a professional local guide throughout, group transport (executive minibus or coach), relevant attraction entry fees (e.g. Beatles Story, museum admission), and a guaranteed return to Liverpool Cruise Terminal ahead of the all-aboard time. We offer half-day (approximately 4 hours) and full-day (approximately 7–8 hours) options. We work with cruise lines, shore excursion buyers, and port agents on a professional B2B basis.

How long does a Liverpool shore excursion last?

We offer both half-day and full-day Liverpool shore excursion options. Half-day excursions run for approximately 4 hours, covering the essential highlights — ideal for ships with a shorter port call. Full-day excursions run for approximately 7–8 hours and allow for a much more comprehensive Liverpool experience. Both options are built around your ship’s specific port time to ensure every passenger returns to the terminal comfortably before all-aboard.

Compliance & Documentation

Do you provide documentation for corporate procurement?

Yes. We can provide company registration details, public liability insurance certificates, risk assessments, safeguarding policies, GDPR data handling policy, and supplier vetting information on request. We understand the requirements of corporate procurement teams and public sector buyers and can support formal supplier approval processes without it being a protracted exercise.

Are you suitable for educational and Erasmus groups?

Yes. We have significant experience managing educational groups, university exchange visits, and Erasmus+ programme visits in Liverpool. We provide safeguarding-aware operations, programme-specific risk assessments, emergency contact structures, and all compliance documentation required by educational institutions. We understand the duty-of-care requirements for student groups and meet them properly.
